bodies naturally produce peptides throughout life. However, production and
responsiveness may decline with age or chronic illness, potentially contributing to
slower healing.


Therapeutic peptides are designed to mimic or enhance these natural signaling
pathways. While research continues to evolve, some peptides have shown promise in
supporting soft tissue repair and recovery in preclinical studies and early clinical
experience. Their use should always be guided by a qualified healthcare professional,
as these therapies are not appropriate for everyone and may carry risks or

Peptides Commonly Used to Support Tissue Repair

BPC-157

BPC-157 is one of the most widely discussed peptides for musculoskeletal injuries.


Experimental research suggests it may:

  • Support new blood vessel formation
  • Promote tendon and ligament healing
  • Influence growth factor signaling
  • Enhance collagen remodeling

Although animal studies have been encouraging, high-quality human clinical trials
remain limited.

TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4 Fragment)

TB-500 is a synthetic fragment related to the naturally occurring protein thymosin beta-4. It has been investigated for its potential to:

  • Support muscle recovery
  • Promote tendon and ligament repair
  • Encourage healthy tissue remodeling
  • Reduce recovery time following injury

GHK-Cu (Copper Peptide)

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper-binding peptide involved in tissue repair and
regeneration. Research suggests it may:

  • Stimulate collagen production
  • Support extracellular matrix remodeling
  • Promote healthy skin and connective tissue repair
  • Modulate inflammatory signaling

CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin

These peptides work by stimulating the body’s own release of growth hormone rather than supplying growth hormone directly.

Growth hormone plays an important role in:

  • Muscle preservation
  • Recovery after injury
  • Connective tissue repair during sleep

These peptides may be considered when recovery has plateaued, muscle loss is a
concern, or tissue healing appears delayed. Their use should always be individualized

Nutrition – Aim for approximately 1.2–1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight
per day, depending on activity level and healing demands. Adequate protein provides
the amino acids necessary for collagen and muscle repair.


Collagen Support – Hydrolyzed collagen (15 grams) combined with 500 mg of vitamin C
approximately 30–60 minutes before rehabilitation exercises may support collagen
synthesis in tendons and ligaments.


Glucosamine – Glucosamine sulfate (1,500 mg daily) may help support connective
tissue health in some individuals, particularly those with osteoarthritis.
Vitamin C – plays an essential role in collagen formation and connective tissue repair.
Many patients benefit from ensuring adequate daily intake through diet or
supplementation as recommended by their healthcare provider.


Sleep – Quality sleep is one of the most powerful regenerative therapies available. The
largest pulse of growth hormone occurs shortly after falling asleep during deep sleep,
making consistent, restorative sleep essential for tissue repair. Aim for 7–9 hours of
quality sleep each night.
