MSC Exosomes Enhance Leukemia Cell Death with Imatinib

This study found that exosomes from mesenchymal stromal cells can enhance the effects of imatinib — a chemotherapy drug — in killing human leukemia cells. The exosomes worked by activating the caspase signaling pathway involved in programmed cell death.

This research suggests a promising adjunct role for exosomes in cancer therapy, particularly in blood cancers like leukemia.
