MSC-Derived miRNA-150-5p Exosomes for Rheumatoid Arthritis

This study examined how exosomes carrying a specific microRNA — miRNA-150-5p — can help treat rheumatoid arthritis by modulating two important proteins, MMP14 and VEGF, involved in joint inflammation and tissue damage.

The findings point to a precise, molecular-level mechanism through which engineered exosomes could one day be used as a targeted therapy for autoimmune joint disease. This research is particularly relevant for patients with chronic inflammatory arthritis.
